The 2015-16 Manchester United season truly had it all. There were some great goals and results and some baffling substitutions. We had some exciting young players breaking through and an evacuation at Old Trafford. Hell, even ‘sex masochism’ and an FA Cup triumph.
Week after week, United supporters watch as their team struggles with incomprehensible tactical decisions, lackadaisical performance levels and being generally not good enough. I asked Ryan Giggs to steal a glance and fill us in on the Dutchman’s stratagems and deepest thoughts.
Whose Under the cosh?Barcelona for a start, after Real Madrid Zidance around them in the Clasico as Los Blancos put in a performance as shiny as their manager’s head.
Meanwhile in the Premier League Spurs find a surprising similarity with Mesut Ozil as they start looking ahead and behind at the same time, with Leicester winning again – boring – and Arsenal finally playing like a team that actually has a lot of good footballers in it.
After last night’s woeful performance in the Champions League at home to PSV Eindhoven, Manchester United are feeling the pain. The Red Devils must go to Wolfsburg and win to ensure qualification to the knockout rounds. A tough ask.

Almost three months ago, I had the good fortune to be asked to write a preview for the good lads at Under The Cosh as to what I thought was going to happen during United’s summer transfer window.
Now that the hilarious and terrifying events of this summer’s business have thankfully concluded, there’s no better time to look back and see if I was right or wrong.
If you thought last summer saw a lot of transfer activity at Old Trafford, you may want to brace yourself – now that the season is over, there is another whirlwind of activity about to get underway.
Louis van Gaal’s first season at Manchester United has been fun to watch from a neutral point of view.
