Pep pops as City are rocked at Anfield, but is the Catalan approaching the end of a cycle?
Arsenal can’t keep up with Leicester who are on their bicycle, Chelsea are riding high still, and Pochettino looks like he might cry.
Some will say for both teams, the product on the pitch alone is worth celebration. Some will say consistent Champions League participation is enough. There also those who say that this period of stability is an accomplishment. To understand the last point, let’s remember where these clubs were before their current managers.
This week on the Coshcast,
Liverpool were always going to be the better side against United but Shaqiri makes Xherdan of it as the Reds ran the field at Anfield, and Man City fans say a Hail Mary as Jesus’ mother returns their Brazilian striker to form.

Like the Seattle Sounders’ feelings of insecurity and inferiority, the Coshcast is back.
Where else to start but with Toronto FC and the MLS Cup as we’re joined by former TFC employee Asif Hossain as we look back at the big game, bask in the warm glow of a drunk Jozy Altidore, and look at who may be shown the door this winter.
City have so many questions to answer, Liverpool just look like they know a bit more about themselves. So in many ways, this match should give us an indication of both teams’ ability to challenge for the league and make their mark on the European stage.
It can surprise nobody that Alex Oxlade Chamberlain is choosing to leave Arsenal. His playing time has been hampered by injuries, his development stalled by mismanagement, his expectations messed with and his value to the club taken for granted until it was too late.
Mohamed Salah’s move from Roma to Liverpool appears all but done. The 25 year old who reached double figures in goals and assists in Serie A last term will join the Merseysiders for a lot of money (the exact amount remains unclear), and he’s an exciting addition to the team, and the league. The question is, of course, where does he fit in?
As ever with Ox, the first question is where he would play. With his luck he would probably end up competing with Milner for the left-back spot, but the current wisdom is that his preference is for central midfield.
It’s the Coshcast and unlike David Moyes’ latest comments, you’re unlikely to regret that you’ve heard it.
You would imagine if Tony Pulis’s Stoke had ever conceded a header to Mesut Ozil that the current WBA manager would have done quite a lot of naked headbutting after the match.
