Lukaku being a flat track bully is an indisputable fact based on these statistics. The question is whether it is his fault. The answer, for the most part, is no.
MUFC 2016/17 Season Review: Don’t dare call it a Treble…
While I admire the Mourinho mentality that says, “if we’re in a competition, we’ll try to win it”, I don’t think any United fan will look back on 2016/17 as another treble season. With all apologies to Liverpool and what some dubbed the ‘Mickey Mouse treble’, this campaign is just barely a double. I mean, the Community Shield isn’t a major trophy, is it?
PFA Player of the Year: Who takes the crown?
Today the PFA announces it’s nominees for the PFA Player of the year award. The nominees are Romelu Lukaku, Harry Kane, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Eden Hazard, Alexis Sanchez and Ngolo Kante. After last year’s Leicester miracle, the nominees all come from the traditional big boys. We delve deep into the topic and discuss who will win, who should win and if there any glaring errors. Manchester United: Can they score? They always score
They’ve been an enigma this season. They’ve played good football, they’ve controlled games and created chances aplenty. This is the football every Manchester United fan wanted to see after the days of LVG’s “possession” game, filled with sideways and backwards passes. This is exactly what every Red Devil wanted to see after David Moyes oversaw the rapid demise of the club in the first season after Sir Alex retired. It’s not quite all that glorious currently though, as their league position remains a bit of a mystery.

Man United vs. Arsenal: World class or no class
For us here at Under The Cosh, this is the biggest game of the season. It’s the Red Devils vs. the Gunners and our friendships will be temporarily strained. Last season Arsenal gave Man United a pasting at the Emirate with a 3-0 victory and the Gooner contingent were full of banter. The return fixture saw 18 year old Marcus Rashford score a brace on his Premier League debut to seal a 3-2 victory for United bringing them redemption.
