Arsenal’s midfield mindf*ck

Since injury removed Santi Cazorla from the equation in mid-October, Arsenal have failed to find balance in the two positions at the base of the midfield.Without that balance, the team does not function properly. Mesut Ozil is playing the #10 role, but it is a very advanced interpretation of the position and this season he has spent a lot of time on the shoulder of the opposition’s defenders, looking to run behind them.

Man United vs. Arsenal: World class or no class

For us here at Under The Cosh, this is the biggest game of the season. It’s the Red Devils vs. the Gunners and our friendships will be temporarily strained. Last season Arsenal gave Man United a pasting at the Emirate with a 3-0 victory and the Gooner contingent were full of banter. The return fixture saw 18 year old Marcus Rashford score a brace on his Premier League debut to seal a 3-2 victory for United bringing them redemption.
