As much as you know we all love the international break, this hasn’t been too bad. Lively European Cup qualifiers have seen Europe’s old powers struggle against teams that are — let’s be fair — not really in Europe.
There were also some international friendlies. Portugal remained rubbish against France, and Argentina got served at the Tardelli counter as Brazil beat them 2-0 — a game which was, for obvious reasons, played in China.
Speaking of Delhi counters, the Indian Super League kicked off this weekend to much fanfare, and Toronto FC kicked themselves out of the playoffs, which was unfair on the fans. All this, Sol Campbell, and much more. Allez les Coshcast.
