As you recall, we have decided to try our hands at predicting the scores of the Premier league games for each matchday for the top 6 teams. 1 point is awarded for the correct outcome and 3 points for a perfect score. At the beginning of each week of predictions, we will remind you of last weeks action and results and the overall points tally for the three of us.

Matchday 3 Predictions:
Saturday August 31st:
Mancity vs Hull:
Bernie: Hull are in some serious trouble here. City will have a point to prove. Danny Graham is no Frazier Campbell so I fully expect the City back line to have an easy day. Aguero and Dzeko to score 3-0 City.
Mohaned: I dont think Pellegrini will ALLOW his side two lose two games in a row to newly promoted teams. Man city will bounce back strongly i feel. Being a home game makes it relatively simpler as well as hull city being a lesser opposition than Cardiff. 2-0 City.
Rishay: Not sure how City managed to lose to Cardiff last weekend….but come on…anything other than a City win here would be ludicrous. 2-0 City.
Sunday September 1st:
Games of the week:
Huge games this Sunday! A sizzling North London Derby (NLD) and a Red derby between Man utd and Liverpool! This will be an intense Sunday! The NLD will be an early indication of whether Tottenham have/will surpass Arsenal this season due to their new signings. Will Arsenal have new players by Sunday?
There is no love lost between the two most successful English clubs. Liverpool will be missing Suarez but Sturridge is on red hot form. Manchester United looked good against Chelsea but RVP will hope he has a much bigger impact this time around. Predicting scores for these games will be tough!
Arsenal vs Tottenham:
Bernie: In this fixture last season Arsenal gave Tottenham a pasting. I don’t see that happening again. Both teams are on good runs at the moment. Spurs have spent heavily but players need time to gel. I think this will be cagey. Arsenal must be resolute in midfield as Spurs are very powerful in the centre. Arsenal will win this battle but Spurs especially with Lamela might ultimately win the war. 2-1 Arsenal
Mohaned: This is tough. The previous 5 NLD at the Emirates have all produced spectacular goal filled games. I feel that this game coming so early in the season might have both teams playing a bit reserved. Also there is no bale this time around. I will go for a hopeful 2-1 Arsenal win.
Rishay: Arsenal have made amends for their opening day debacle, but Podolski has a hamstring injury and the attack might be stretched. Tottenham have been unimpressive with back to back 1-0 wins so far, showing that they haven’t quite gotten going yet. This game is pivotal for both teams. Bring it on. 2-1 Arsenal.
Liverpool vs Manchester United:
Bernie: Liverpool could be useless for an entire season but when United come to town they always seem to turn up and outplay the Red Devils. So far Moyes’ men have done quite well. I expect Rooney and Van Persie to play with Rooney dropping in deep to support midfield when he can. Sturridge is on fire but I can’t see Liverpool scoring more than once without Mr. Suarez. 2-1 United
Mohaned: Will the Liverpool fans give their team the required lift to overcome the Red Devils? If man utd play aswell as against Chelsea then i fear Liverpool will lose this one. It also depends on how Moyes approaches this game. I hope he plays both Rooney and RVP and goes all out. Predicting a 1-0 Man Utd win.
Rishay: Liverpool always rise up to this game, especially at Anfield. A draw here would be a fair result going into this game, given the form of both teams so far. However, without Suarez, United will only have to keep out Sturridge and stop Gerrard if he plays. Mignolet might take some beating though…. 2-1 United.
